Goleman Learning Resource Center The modernization of the Goleman Learning Resource Center is a state funded project with the District sharing equally in its cost. Upon its completion, the renovation will result in completely updated library space and delivery systems throughout this 50,000 quare foot, two-story facility. Construction is expected to begin in Fall, 2008 and be completed in Fall, 2009. Departments that were housed in the Goleman Building have been relocated for the duration of the facility renovation (view relocation information). Library resources were moved to 41 W. Yokuts Ave. just prior to the beginning of renovation work. |

Northeast Infrastructure The Northeast Infrastructure project involves upgrading a segment of the existing main utilities loop in anticipation of serving the upcoming new facilities: Student Services Center; Math and Sciences Building; and the District Support Services Complex (including a Data Center for Information Technology and Police Building). All the utilities on campus are District-owned, except for the water lines, which are owned by the City of Stockton. There is an existing water line that is in conflict with plans for the new Math and Sciences Bulding. This portion of the line is being disconnected and a new line installed to circumvent the new structure on the north side. The relocated water line is approximately 670 linear feet in and consists of a 12 inch diameter pipe. |

North Road Infrastructure This project combines student safety and infrastructure upgrades into a single project. Starting at the west entrance on Pershing Ave., the intersection is being modified to allow access to large vehicles thereby removing this traffic from the main entrance where that is heavy student traffic. In addition, the project includes a roadway extension to the proposed location of the new District Support Services Complex and Data Center. Under the roadway will be 3,013 linear feet of new 12 inch diameter water main inside a dedicated public utility easement, 1,476 linear feet 10 inch diameter sanitary sewer line, and 1,825 linear feet of new storm drain ranging from 15 to 30 inch diameter to serve the existing warehouse, landscape facility and the planned new facilities. The new complex on the north road will combine non-student facilities and deliveries in an area away from the campus core and away from student pedestrian traffic further increasing safety. |
